Winter is magical.

And I am ready for it.

I think it is good that i live here in Texas, USA because I either am in the mood for summer or winter, and thats pretty much all we get. No in between. Seriously, one day it's stifling hot, and then the next-- before you know it, everyones jittering in their socks because we're just all so dang cold.

Hmm... maybe... Texans are just used to it being incredibly hot and humid, so any kind of gust of a cold front, and we think we're freezing.

So let me rephrase everything I said above.

I'm ready for the TEXAS version of winter. Cute sweaters from Gap, scarves of all colors being scattered amongst all retail has to offer, that crisp, dry, brisk feeling you get when you walk outside, frozen dew on my windshield, always hoping for the slightest flutter of snow, Christmas colors flitting across every catalogue you pick up, not to mention the dreamy lights and greenery hung from the ceilings of every mall... THAT is the winter I'm ready for. The one I've grown up with from the day I was born all the way up until today, July 29th 2008. I want my Texan "winter."

Not quite the Texas winter, but its the feeling I want:-)

I was always ready for the cold but then I was always ready for the warm too. I guess God knew we would be that way. But, I would still like to live somewhere with 4 defined seasons.

Thanks to my weirdly long arms and torso, cute sweaters at the Gap (or anywhere else) have always fit me funny. Sad.
I wish I could wear cute Gap sweaters.
Austin has a few months in there (April and October usually) where the weather is dry and at that perfect 75-80 degrees. I think that's my favorite time of year around here...when the mornings are cool and dewy.

It's hot today.
